* At 114 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Piute County. Between
0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen, with the heaviest rainfall
occurring over Gold Gulch and Ten Mile Creek areas. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned
area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the Gold Gulch and Ten Mile Creek, and possibly
Cottonwood Gulch. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud,
vegetation and other loose materials. These debris flows are
expected to travel downstream impacting HW 89 between mile markers
171 to 176.
